This system is one of the most economical and effective production improvement tools in press working. The ability to change dies quickly and safely allows expansion of the production capabilities of your presses.

Steel rails with crowned rollers, which have been custom designed to fit into your press, are positioned above air bags in designated T-slots. Shop air is injected into the air bags raising the rails to the shoulder stop in the T-slots. The rollers are raised 1/8" above the bolster surface, thereby lifting the die. When the air is released from the bags, the rails lower, bringing the rollers below the bolster surface and positioning the die on the bolster. The die weight will determine whether the die can be easily positioned manually or whether mechanical assistance will be required for loading / unloading. Approximately lift force for the 3/4" Tee-Lift system is 900 lbs. / lineal ft. and 1300 lbs. / lineal ft. for the 1" Tee-Lift system.

DI-GLIDE® Quick Die Change System Patented
The heavy-duty pneumatic die lifting system for dies sets up to 80 tons.
This is the largest configuration of Wardcraft’s patented Tee-Lift system, and is of rugged, simple construction to give the added strength and durability needed to lift heavier weight die sets. Various mounting options allow easy installation in or on your bolster. |

System Operation: A steel rail with a number of 4000 lb. capacity crowned rollers is positioned above a neoprene air bag (rated at 500 PSIG). Plant air is piped to the bag through an air valve. When the system is pressured, the rail lifts 3/8" to the shoulder stops and places the rollers 1/4" above the flat surface and holds this elevation during the die change. When the die has been positioned, the air is exhausted through a single air valve for a complete die lifting system.
